I passed! I am officially a level 1 certified google educator.

Overall, I found the exam to be appropriately challenging. Some questions were straightforward and others were more challenging. Google does require that you sign a non-disclosure agreement before you write the exam.
I would definitely recommend the exam to anyone who wants to implement G-suite in their classroom. I might take the level 2 exam, but am going to take a break and see how I can implement my current knowledge into the classroom first.
In other news, I have been finding google drive, docs, slides and more useful am I lesson plan and prep for my first practicum (grade 8!). I especially appreciate the “make a copy” feature in google docs. It has come in useful as I write so many lesson plans. I also appreciate that links to YouTube videos can be converted to little widgets by pressing tab. These widgets have the video’s title and a peekaboo window when you hover over it.
